Košuta, a mighty mountain ridge stretching more than 10 kilometres into the Karavanke Mountains, offers an exceptional hiking experience. With more than ten two-thousanders and six marvellous peaks, it is a real challenge for mountain lovers. Join us as we cross this picturesque ridge, considered one of the most beautiful parts of the Karavanke. You will enjoy a unique combination of mountain world and colourful meadows. Hiking route: Planina Spodnja Dolga Njiva (1400 m) - Košutnikov Turn (2133 m) - Veliki vrh (Košuta) (2088 m). - Dom na Kofcah (1488 m) - Planina Spodnja Dolga Njiva (1400 m)
  • Meeting point: 7:00 Parking Pod Krnico, near the mountain Spodnja Dolga Njiva.
  • Sightseeing, information, hike: Košute Ridge, Planine - south of Košute Ridge.
  • Hiking route: Planina Spodnja Dolga Njiva (1400 m) - Košutnikov Turn (2133 m) - Veliki vrh (Košuta) (2088 m). - Dom na Kofcah (1488 m) - Planina Spodnja Dolga Njiva (1400 m).
  • Distance: 24 km Elevation difference along the route: +1250 m, -1250 m Walking time: approx. 9 hours, with stops 12 hours.
  • Additional options: The hike can be extended (e.g. Tolsta Košuta (2039 m) Easy and difficult mountain trails, Walking time: approx. 3 hours).
  • Food and drink: During the hike, e.g. at home in Kofce and own from the rucksack, after the end of the hike - the possibility of a visit to the local taverns.
