Discover Učka Nature Park, where the Mediterranean meets the continent. Prehistoric traces testify to the long history of settlement in the area. Učka is a popular destination for hikers, mountaineers and cyclists. The canyon of Vela Draga offers climbers well-maintained routes. Twenty years ago, Učka and part of Čičarija became a nature park. Čičarija offers natural treasures such as Veliki Planik and Korita spring. 

Učka boasts exceptional biodiversity in a small area. Both continental and Mediterranean plant species thrive here - around 1300 different species. Look out for the endemic Učka bellflower and perhaps even the white-headed vulture or golden eagle. Učka is home to many nesting and migratory birds.   • Distance: 21 km Elevation difference along the route: +1050 m, -860 m Walking time: approx. 6 - 8 hours.
  • The hike can be shortened as it is possible to climb to the top of Učka by road.
  • Afternoon sightseeing possibilities: Exploring Istria, Opatija Riviera, Rijeka,...
