Explore the North Velebit National Park - hiking trails, diverse landscapes and rare animal and plant species in one of the best preserved mountain areas in Croatia. The North Velebit National Park is located in the heart of Lika, at the crossroads of the continent and the Mediterranean Sea. Although it covers only 109 km², it is known for its biodiversity and geological features. Among the rare plant species, the Velebit degenia stands out, and the park is also home to large carnivores such as the wolf and the bear. In the park you can explore the karst phenomena of the Hajduški and Rožanski kukovi Strict Reserve, visit the Velebit Botanical Garden and hike along the Premužić Trail, one of the most interesting hiking trails in Croatia.

- Difficulty: Easy and difficult marked mountain trails.
- Distance: 15 km Elevation difference along the route: +370 m, -500 m Walking time: approx. 5 - 6 hours.
- Additional options: the hike can be extended (e.g. the peaks of central Velebit near the Alan Pass or the descent to the sea - Jablanac); Easy mountain trails, Walking time: approx. 3h.).
- Afternoon sightseeing and relaxation opportunities: exploring the coastline around Jablanec (e.g. Zavratnica, one of the most beautiful bays on the Adriatic coast.).
- Food and drink: During the hike only own food from the rucksack, after the hike - possibility to visit local taverns and pubs.
- Potential accommodation before the hike: the Zavižan Mountain Lodge (The only option is shared accommodation - 15 beds with bed linen, equipment: shower & electricity, common room, price: from 16€/night, PD members from 8€/night, food can be prepared by prior arrangement).
